The Wake Kendall Group, PLLC is a private practice in Washington, DC offering a wide variety of psychological services to the Metro DC community. Our services include psychotherapy for children, adults, couples and families, comprehensive outpatient DBT for adults, evidence-based group therapy, and psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. Our team of highly skilled clinicians sees clients of all ages and stages of life for a broad range of concerns.

Our practice is situated in a warm and comfortable set of office suites in the heart of the Friendship Heights neighborhood in Northwest DC. Our offices are located across the street from the Friendship Heights Metro stop (red line) with ample parking options nearby and quick access to a number of dining and shopping locales. We offer a strong compensation plan with 401K options, and all trainees and employees are provided with supervision at no cost. Clinicians on the DBT team receive additional weekly support via our DBT consultation team. We highly value our collegial work environment, and the practice convenes regularly for lunches for the purposes of socializing and professional development.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Therapist
The Wake Kendall Group, PLLC welcomes highly trained applicants to join our thriving DBT team. The clinician should have strong training in evidence-based treatments and be passionate about treating clients with pronounced emotion regulation difficulties. A qualified applicant will have prior training and experience delivering cognitive and behavioral treatments to adults. Prior experience with empirically-supported trauma treatment is highly valued.
Clinicians who have already completed intensive DBT training, as well as those who are willing to become intensively trained, are encouraged to apply. Individuals who have not previously completed an intensive (minimum of 5-day foundational training through Behavioral Tech or other gold-standard trainers) will be required to complete such a training prior to joining our team. Financial support is offered towards this requirement.

The Wake Kendall Group, PLLC is home to a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Program™, offering comprehensive outpatient DBT to the diverse DC Metro community. Our practice’s DBT team has been growing and thriving since 2003 when its founders were first trained by Marsha Linehan. Since then, we have welcomed on board a team of highly trained, compassionate and dedicated clinicians. We have prioritized the delivery of the highest quality DBT by offering our team regular video consultation with external DBT experts and periodic in-house trainings. Our DBT program is the first and only in the Washington DC metro area to be certified by the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification.

Child/Adolescent Therapist
The Wake Kendall Group, PLLC, a thriving and longstanding group practice in Friendship Heights, DC, is seeking a child and adolescent therapist. Applicants should feel confident utilizing multiple modes of therapies in their work: CBT, play therapy, and family-based therapies. We prefer a licensed clinician but would consider a candidate who has recently completed advanced training, such as a postdoc in clinical psychology.
