Individuals

Individual psychotherapy is provided for children, adolescents and adults.

We serve a broad community of clients. Not all of our clients have a diagnosable condition. Many of our clients come to therapy to seek insight into difficulties managing relationships and stressful life events. Some have never worked with a therapist before. Other clients we serve are struggling to find their life’s path.

We also work often with clients presenting with:

  • • Depressive Disorders
  • • Bipolar Disorder
  • • Anxiety Disorders
  • • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • • Borderline Personality Disorder
  • • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
  • • Oppositional Defiant Disorder

We use multiple techniques to address difficulties that are presented.

A common foundation of all techniques used is the establishment of strong therapeutic rapport between the therapist and the client.

Individual therapy approaches include:

  • • Play Therapy
  • • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
  • • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
  • • Behavioral Therapy
  • • Prolonged Exposure Therapy
  • • Interpersonal Therapy
  • • Dynamic (Insight-Oriented) Approaches
