Assessment/Testing

Formal assessment through individual testing is often conducted to learn more about a person's thinking and learning styles as well as to gain a better understanding of mood and personality. Educational assessment is provided for individuals who are experiencing difficulty in learning. We work with clients from preschool age through adult, and our assessment services are tailored to the particular needs of each client. Depending on the referral question, we incorporate developmental, educational, psychological, and neuropsychological tests and questionnaires into the assessment battery. Consultation with school staff and other professionals is provided as needed. Interpretive sessions include recommendations and referral information when appropriate. Detailed written reports include findings and recommendations to help the individual understand and utilize strengths, compensate for weaknesses, and realize potential. Our evaluations are conducted by experienced psychologists or educational diagnosticians.
