Admissions Testing

Admissions testing is available for children who are required to take an individually administered test as part of the application process at many independent schools in the Washington area. These schools that take part in the Shared Admissions Testing Program are listed below. All of our examiners are partners or associates at Wake Kendall and are experienced psychologists or educational diagnosticians who appreciate young children and enjoy working with them.

Procedure

To schedule an appointment, complete the Admissions Testing Information Form and mail it to us with your check for the appropriate fee. Upon receipt of the form and fee, one of our examiners will call you to make an appointment. Appointments are offered every week day, and some Saturday slots are also available. October through January is the busiest season for admissions testing. For the most extensive choice of date and time, it is recommended that appointments be scheduled early in the fall. It is also recommended that children, especially under the age of six, be tested in the morning. If you have further questions, please call 202-686-7699, extension 18.

The following Washington area schools are part of the Shared Admissions Testing Program and require an individually administered admissions test for applicants at the preschool and elementary level.
